Recebi o ARC deste livro que é o primeiro de uma série de dois autores internacionais e vamos começar a divulgar seu trabalho aqui no Brasil, já que um deles é brasileiro. Por enquanto vamos falar sobre os livros em inglês e quem sabe conseguimos trabalhar tão bem que alguma editora vai querer trazer e lançar por aqui, em português.I received the ARC of this book which is the first in a series of two international authors and we will start promoting their work here in Brazil, since one of them is Brazilian. For now let's talk about the books in English and maybe we can work so well that some publisher will want to bring and launch here, in Portuguese.

Eu 'defino' como Suspense romântico com várias coisas que amo (I 'define' as Romantic Suspense with several things like):
- romance da melhor qualidade, um casal fofo e muito inteligente (romance of the highest quality, a cute and very intelligent couple);
- aventuras com estilo James Bond e Trilogia Bourne, minha amada Série Mortal (adventures like James Bond series and Bourne Trilogy, and my beloved In Death Series);
- e apesar de ser uma série não há cliffhanger (aquele estilo literário que sempre fica um nó desatado, geralmente complicado, para o próximo livro). and despite being a series there no cliffhanger (one literary style that always gets a knot untied, usually complicated, for the next book).

Por causa de um problema junto a um serviço da James Security que estava sendo conduzido por Cassandra ela vai tentar descobrir como encontrar o ladrão do projeto e acaba indo à NSA, onde Trevor por causa de um comentário de seu amigo, George Miller, sobre uma investigação acaba pesquisando e tentando esconder seu rastro, mas Cassandra acaba descobrindo que ele entrou no arquivo e vai lá para descobrir porque. Mas quando Cassandra e Trevor se vêem... não conseguem deixar de sentir a atração forte que os liga... mesmo após uma conversa ríspida, interrompida pelo 'amigo' ciumento de Cassandra, o qual Trevor apelida de Bruce Banner (o homem por trás do Hulk), adoro as brincadeiras de Trevor.
A série já tem dois livros completos, nos EUA conhecidos como 'Novel' e treze 'short stories' divididas em 'bits e bytes of life', pequenas histórias, que estão intercaladas com os livros, e apesar de ainda não ter lido me parecem ter cenas mais quentes (romances mais picantes). Vocês ainda vão ouvir bastante sobre a série Countermeasure (Contra medida)!
A diferença entre os Bits e os Bytes é que os Bytes são um pouco mais longos do que os bits e os bytes têm um pouco mais ligação com a história principal.

Cassandra James é uma ex-agente da CIA que agora trabalha na empresa de segurança de seu pai, Robert James, um ex-SEAL que ao perder a esposa não conseguiu dar afetividade para a filha. Ensinou para Cassandra tudo sobre histórias e táticas militares, ensinou a ela sobre auto-defesa e uso de armas, fazendo dela uma excelente agente da CIA, e agora uma excelente Especialista em segurança digital.
Cassandra James is a former CIA agent who now works in her father's security company, Robert James, a former SEAL who after losing his wife could not give affection to his daughter. He taught Cassandra all about history and military tactics, taught her about self-defense and use of weapons, making her an excellent CIA's official cover agent in counter-intelligence, and now an excellent data security specialist.
Trevor Bauer (na verdade Trevor Brennan), é um geek, charmoso, lindo, inteligente, engraçado e o melhor de tudo: IRLANDÊS... ai meu pobre coração! Trevor vive nos EUA, e trabalha para a NSA (National Security Agency) que é uma Agencia de segurança Americana, mas ele, com toda sua inteligência (é um prodígio na matemática e ciência) trabalha com projetos ultra secretos de todos os tipos. Filho de um expert em sofwares que desenvolveu um empresa de biometria muito famosa na Irlanda e que há quatro anos junto da esposa, ou seja, os pais de Trevor, Conor e Maeve Brennan, sumiram ou morreram, e a polícia irlandesa não dá maiores informações e acredita que os pais cometeram suicidio, o que Trevor não acredita.

Because of a problem with a service of James Security that was being driven by Cassandra she will try to figure out how to find the thief of the project and ends up going to the NSA, where Trevor because of a comment of his friend, George Miller, over a research he has just researching and trying to hide his trail, but Cassandra discovers he entered the file and go there to find out why. But when Cassandra and Trevor are seen wich other... can't help but feel a strong attraction that binds them... even after a harsh conversation, interrupted by her 'friend' jealous of Cassandra, which Trevor dubs Bruce Banner (the man behind the Hulk), I love Trevor play.
O destino coloca Cassandra e Trevor juntos, e juntos eles vão trabalhar para desvendar o mistério do roubo do projeto farmacêutico que a James Security estava protegendo e que tirou Cassie do trabalho... Eles vão viajar em busca do ladrão, e juntos vão passar por uma aventura cheia de mistério, assassinatos e muita tensão, e juntos vão descobrir o amor.
Fate puts Cassandra and Trevor together, and together they will work to unravel the mystery of the pharmaceutical project theft that James Security was protecting and Cassie took the job... They will travel in search of the thief, and together we will go through an adventure full of mystery, murder and a lot of tension, and together we will discover love.

Como vocês sabem, eu amo livros policiais, mas eu amo ainda mais romances, e quando se une romance (amor) e suspense policial (não que Countermeasure seja policial, mas tem uma investigação muito inteligente) e os 'suspense investigativo' unido ao romance me fez gostar muito do livro. Por exemplo a série de Patricia Cornwell (Scarpetta) não me atende completamente pela falta de romance do bom.

As you know, I love detective stories, but I love even more novels, and when it unites romance (love) and crime thriller (not that Countermeasure be police, but has a very smart research) and 'investigative thriller' attached to romance It made me like the book very much. For example the Patricia Cornwell's series (Scarpetta) does not meet me completely by the lack of the good romance.
The series already has two complete books in the US known as 'Novel' and thirteen short stories divided in 'bits and bytes of life', which are interspersed with the novels, and despite I having not read yet seem to have more hot scenes (spicier romances). You'll still hear a lot about the Countermeasure series (Contra measure)!
The difference between the Bits and the Bytes is that the Bytes are slightly longer than the bits and bytes have a little connection with the main story.
